CRICKET FIELD

Success of Primrose in Martinez Competition.

EFFORTS OF MOYSTON.

Above we publish a photograph of the Primrose cricket team, the champions of the Martinez cup division for the ensuing year.

The Primrose club has from its entry on the scene proved onee of the strongest teams in the tournament, but for years in succession had to be content with second place. This season, however, the club came out on top, having vanquished the West India Regiment combination at the third attempt to play off the tie that had resulted In the competition.

The Primrose numbers among its players, some excellent bats, while the bowling department is as good as that of many clubs in the senior competition.

M. Moyston, the one time Lucas star bat and bowler, is the best cricketer on the side. The club owes much of its success to the wholehearted and indefatigable efforts on its behalf, by its captain, Mr. J. Casely.
