General comments:
It was a common pattern for young men to become druggists/pharmacists,
then go on to become doctors. Sometimes it was the sons of a pharmacist, like Harold and Ludlow Moody, who trained as doctors.
In addition to the men who went to Canada and Scotland, there were many who went to Howard University; between 1890 and 1914
at least 21 Jamaican men graduated there as dentists, and 7 as doctors.
